Megan Fox has announced her engagement to rockstar Machine Gun Kelly, setting the internet ablaze with pictures of her incredible engagement ring. The two have been dating for roughly a year and a half after meeting on set of indie film Midnight In The Switchgrass. Megan says she knew he was the one the moment she laid eyes on him:

‘I knew right away that he was what I call a twin flame. Instead of a soul mate, a twin flame is actually where a soul has ascended into a high enough level that it can be split into two different bodies at the same time,’ she said. ‘We’re actually two halves of the same soul.’

Following a whirlwind romance, including some history-making red carpet couples look, Megan and Machine Gun Kelly became engaged outside the Spa Botanicó at the Ritz-Carlton Dorado Beach in Puerto Rico under a banyan tree where the couple says they first fell in love.

The diamond and emerald engagement ring Machine Gun Kelly presented to Megan Fox is as lush and curvaceous as the great Banyan tree he proposed underneath. Made in a split double-band design, diamonds on either side of the knife edge band profile to evoke a bough of thorns. At the ring’s centre an icy pear cut diamond and rich bluish-green pear emerald are brought together to form an asymmetrical ‘obscure heart’. With the central gemstones meeting in a unique offset Moi et Toi style, it feels as though the diamond—his birthstone—is kissing the emerald from above. Whereas the emerald—her birthstone—offers support to the gemstone above. We expect there are multiple meanings and references entwined into this sinuous stunner of a ring.
