Below we have listed the terms and conditions that govern the use of this website and by using this website you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions which, together with our privacy policy govern Taylor & Hart’s relationship with yourself and the website.

The term “Taylor & Hart”, “us” or “we”, refers to the owner of this website whose registered office is St. Clements House, 27 Clement’s Lane, London, EC4N 7AE, United Kingdom, and whose company registration number is 07592365 (England & Wales).

If you have any queries please contact one of our diamond consultants at enquiries@taylorandhart.com or contact us.

Please read the “Terms and Conditions” listed below carefully, as by using this website you agree to be bound by them. We may update these terms at our discretion but please do not use this website or any other Taylor & Hart page or website until you agree to all the terms and conditions described below. Please do not use this website, any other Taylor & Hart page or website unless you agree to all the terms and conditions described below. These terms and conditions govern your use of, and any purchase from, the Taylor & Hart, via the website or by phone, and constitute an agreement between you and Taylor & Hart.

Taylor & Hart reserves the right to change or modify any of these terms and conditions or any policy or guideline of this site at any time, and in its sole discretion. Any changes or modification will be effective immediately after the revisions are posted onto the website. Should you continue using this website following the posting of any changes or modifications; this will constitute your acceptance of these changes. For this reason you should frequently review these Terms and Conditions and any of our other applicable policies to understand those terms and conditions that apply to your use of this site. If you do not agree to the amended terms, you must stop using this website.

Product Availability and Pricing

You may choose to view prices and complete your order in the following currencies on the www.taylorandhart.com website: British Pound Sterling (GBP).

Because we receive a high volume of orders, sometimes an item can become out of stock before we are able to post an updated product listing to the website. Should this happen, we will notify you personally and offer you, as an alternative, a different product which is similar or almost identical in its grade to the original. You will also be given the option to cancel your order, should you find that none of our alternatives are suitable.

As we offer over 100,000 diamonds, it is possible that data (such as prices) may be inaccurately displayed on our website due to a system or typographical error. While we make every attempt to minimise the occurrence of such errors, we cannot guarantee they will not occur. We reserve the right to correct any errors as they occur and we do not honour sales based on inaccurate or erroneous prices. Should the listed price be lower than its actual price, we will attempt to contact you before shipping the product and then, based on your instructions, we will either cancel the order or charge you the revised amount. If the order has already been shipped, by these terms you agree to either return the product or pay the difference between the actual and charged prices. Taylor & Hart prices are also subject to change without prior notice. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause; our prices are affected by the worldwide supply and demand of precious metals and gems and changes are often abrupt and unexpected.

Comparison Shopping

To keep our prices competitive, we do not allow comparison shopping. Comparison shopping is the act of buying several items with the intent of keeping the one you like best and returning the remainder. This can be very costly. To confirm the quality of a product, please contact your consultant – we’d be happy to offer advice and where possible, an in-person viewing.

Price Reductions

At Taylor & Hart, we pride ourselves on our value-for-money proposition. For the vast majority of orders, the price you see on our website is the lowest possible price we can offer. For this reason most of our prices are final and not open to negotiation. We do however sometimes run special promotions through the use of promotional codes (or other means) to reward loyal or returning clients.

Sales Tax/VAT

For clients, where value added tax (VAT), or Goods and Services tax (GST) is not 0%, it will be applied to your order. This VAT amount is calculated based on the shipping destination of your order, for example, this tax in the UK this is currently 20% and 10% in Australia.

Orders made in the UK on the Taylor & Hart website are ineligible for the VAT Retail Export Scheme because Taylor & Hart is an internet-only retail company and is ineligible to participate. However for customers who wish to pick up their order from our office, we will be able to assist you with the VAT Retail Export Scheme if you have already applied to it.

International Shipments

Purchases made using the Taylor & Hart website (www.taylorandhart.com) may be shipped to locations worldwide. We accept credit card payments for more than 50 countries but for some countries we can only accept wire transfer payments.

Delivery and Insurance

All our shipments are fully insured and sent via FedEx (up to $30,000) or Malca Amit (over $30,000 value). This insurance protects your order from the time it leaves us to the moment it arrives at your door. For added security, we may request you confirm your identity prior to shipping your order and a signature will be required upon delivery of your Taylor & Hart order. Please make arrangements to be available at the shipping destination to sign off after receiving the parcel or alternatively specify that you would like to collect your order from the courier’s office during checkout. We accept no liability for loss, consequential or other, where the terms and conditions of the carrier are not met.

Alternate Shipping Addresses

If it is more convenient for you, we can also ship your order to an address other than your billing address. However, as a security precaution, to do this we require that your alternate shipping address is registered with your credit card company. This precaution protects both Taylor & Hart and our customers from fraudulent charges to your credit card.

Diamond Grading Certificates

For all orders of loose diamonds and diamond jewellery (where there is at least one diamond of 0.20ct or larger) we always ship the product(s) to you with an accompanying GIA diamond grading report (also known as a diamond certificate). These grading reports have been created by diamond grading experts at highly-respected GIA diamond laboratories around the world. They contain a detailed description of all the characteristics of the specific diamond. We can accept no liability for the accuracy of the GIA report.

As it is very expensive to replace a diamond grading report, we require each diamond certificate to be sent with the diamond should you choose to make a return. If you do not include the diamond grading report with your return, you will be charged a replacement fee of $250.
