Set Your Budget and Consider Your Venues
Decide on a figure that you’re comfortable with and do your utmost to commit to it. When venue shopping, avoid looking at options outside your price range as it might end in heartache. Falling in love with a stately manor when you’ve budgeted for a charming barn could only throw a spanner in the works.
Before you start diving into venue tours, spend some time brainstorming what you actually want from your wedding day. A grand banquet or casual garden party? A posh sit-down meal or festival-style food trucks? Deciding on your priorities beforehand will help you choose a venue that fits in with your vision board, rather than trying to shift your dreams to match the space.
Book the Big Suppliers Early
The key suppliers include caterers, photographers and entertainment. These are the ones that should be booked as a first priority to ensure you get the ones you want. Don’t worry too much about the finer details at this stage, as most suppliers will allow you to tweak things closer to the day.
