Game of Thrones fans rejoice! It seems we now have two Westeros weddings to celebrate. Just last month, Kit Harington and Rose Leslie announced their engagement. This weekend, Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas joined the engagement club and shared their romantic news on social media. We take a look at the beautiful rings gracing both Leslie & Turner’s fingers.

Their characters meet as enemies, north of The Wall in series two of Game of Thrones, when Jon Snow and the Night’s Watch raid a wildling camp and take Ygritte prisoner. Despite being on opposing sides of a war, they soon become lovers, and it seems their on-screen romance soon blossomed off-screen too.
Harington spoke of his relationship with Leslie, “If you’re already attracted to someone, and then they play your love interest in the show, it becomes very easy to fall in love.”

Three rings inspired by Rose's ring
Leslie received a classic oval solitaire engagement ring, set in traditional yellow gold.

I estimate Rose’s ring to be around 1.25 carats. It could range in price from £14,000 (if it were an H colour, VVS1 clarity) to £22,000 (if it were a D colour, flawless clarity). It’s a wide range, but that’s indicative of how much the 4Cs can affect price.
And the ring design isn’t the only traditional element to their proposal. An official announcement of their engagement was published The Times newspaper, which stated: “The engagement is announced between Kit, younger son of David and Deborah Harington of Worcestershire, and Rose, middle daughter of Sebastian and Candy Leslie of Aberdeenshire.”
Sophie Turner & Joe Jonas
Joe Jonas popped the question to Sophie Turner and the couple announced their engagement news via Instagram.
The pair began dating late last year and have been spotted together both at red-carpet events and casual dates since. They give a small insight into their relationship on their Instagram accounts and even adopted a Siberian husky, named Porky, together last month.
The couple announced their engagement via social media, sharing the news on Instagram to their millions of followers. Sophie plays Sansa Stark in the hit HBO drama and Joe Jonas rose to fame as one-third of The Jonas Brothers, and more recently his band DNCE.
They posted matching engagement ring selfies on their accounts, hand-in-hand, with Turner’s caption reading ‘I said yes.’ and Jonas’ reading ‘She said yes.’
We’re guessing that the pear shaped diamond engagement ring is around three carats. It’s set on an on-trend diamond pavé double band. It looks like platinum, with its bright, contemporary appearance, perfect for this young, vibrant couple.
How much, you ask? Again, Dave estimates the price of a ring like Sophie’s.
Based on the ring being set in platinum and a centre diamond of around three carats, Sophie’s ring could cost anywhere from £65,000 (with an H colour, VVS1 clarity grade diamond) to £125,000 (with a D colour, flawless clarity grade diamond). It ultimately depends on the grade of the diamond. Whatever the ring, an official congratulations to the happy couple!
