Key Responsibilities
- Deliver sales efficiently meeting monthly targets
- Provide customers with the knowledge they need to choose a great diamond/gemstone and ring and enable them to make an informed purchase

- Outreach prospective leads through email and phone to qualify intend and decide on the best approach to close a sale
- Close sales of base and low-modification rings, where design capability is not the
main attribute needed to complete the sale - Ensure that the customer pipeline is constantly attended to, effectively clearing the backlog of non-responded or otherwise waiting leads
- Provide coverage for any inbound communication that comes through the Live Chat function on the Taylor and Hart site
- Respond to all new customer enquiries as quickly as possible and mostly within one working day
- Share any insights or feedback from the sales process or the tools we use with your colleagues

The Design Assistant Programme
The goal of the programme is to train and develop our candidate to transition into a full time Design Sales Consultant role within 12-18 months. Throughout the programme, your role will be multifaceted as you learn about every part of the company:
- Assisting Design Consultants: Your primary day-to-day responsibilities will be to assist design consultants in their tasks. Tasks include sourcing gemstones and diamonds, creating quotes, seeing customers, creating designs and communicating via Live chat, Whatsapp, on the phone, e-mail and in person.
- Production & Sourcing: Learn how our rings and jewellery pieces are made; where our gems come from; assist the team in creating and delivering stunning products to customers around the world.
- Customer Service: Communicate with customers who’ve placed an order, update them on our progress and assist those who return with after-sales enquiries.
- Consulting Customers: When you’re ready, we will introduce you to your first potential customers. You will be able to quote them, work with our CAD designers to produce a design for them and source them a stunning diamond or gemstone.
- General Administration: During the programme, we will also ask you to assist around the office with collections and deliveries to our craftsmen in Hatton Garden (Farringdon), and ad hoc admin work.
Key Responsibilities
As part of the programme, all training will be provided:
- Developing an in-depth knowledge of the brand and product ranges; conveying this with pride and passion to customers
- Learning about diamonds/gemstones and assessing their quality
- Working with the production team and learning how jewellery is made
- Responding to customers via e-mail, phone, Live Chat and WhatsApp to assess and advise on their requirements
