Embracing the UN’s 17 Global Goals with jewellery

with love darling 17 global goals bracelet

A few weeks ago, we collaborated with the jewellery brand With Love Darling to run a giveaway competition–giving entrants the chance to win one of the brand’s meaningful pieces, the water drop necklace. This week, we thought that we would highlight With Love Darling’s mission, with a spotlight on the brand.

Elisabeth Crossley-Wright founded With Love Darling in 2016, following a career in the Danish army, serving as an officer in the NATO missions in Bosnia and Kosovo during 1999 – 2000. After her time in the army, Elisabeth began working at the United Nations in Kosovo, and during this time she became well versed with the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Elisabeth began thinking of ways in which she could empower impoverished communities, which led her to an exciting career change.

Elisabeth began the jewellery brand With Love Darling as a way of contributing to the UN’s sustainable goals. She envisioned a community around her pieces, creating an experience to embrace the global goals through strong symbolism within jewellery. Elisabeth began employing different workshops in Syria, Afghanistan, and Nairobi to create a sustainable supply chain.

Investing in these areas and economies by way of opening a workshop is, in my opinion, the only way of rebuilding individuals, families and societies. By giving people access to their craft and expertise, they experience opportunity, income and independence to take back control over their destiny.

A portion of her profits go to charities such as RED and Project Everyone, and she is always looking for new charities to give her proceeds to. With Love Darling has an entire collection based on the 17 goals, with each piece relating to a different goal.

It is our aim to create maximum awareness around the Sustainable Development Goals, and have every engaged human being wearing a piece of The Global Goals Collection in a bid to create positive change.
