Behind the Design: Ross & Ajia

In true modern fairytale romance style, Ajia and Ross met nine years ago on Tinder. They swiped right and the rest is history.

Despite initial concerns of a potential catfish scenario, the pair spent the evening of their first date eating Italian food followed by sitting in Ross’ car talking and listening to music into the early hours of the morning. The two grew from strength to strength and back in 2020, Ross surprised Ajia with a trip to Niagara Falls and proposed in front of the breathtaking natural wonder.

“Ajia had given me some hints about the style of ring she would want” explains Ross, “so I knew she liked the twisted band look and three-stone setting.”

Ross proposed with a customised 18ct white gold Destiny trilogy engagement ring featuring a 1.05ct Canadamark cushion cut centre diamond. The centre stone is elegantly flanked by two round accent diamonds set on a gracefully twisted diamond pavé band.

Fast forward two years and the pair tied the knot in September 2022 at Historic Ashland, surrounded by the love of their friends and family. “We drank and danced the night away–it was truly the best day of our lives” gushes Ajia.

The couple recently spoke with Susquehanna Style and us about their wedding and how Ajia chose her wedding ring. Ajia opted for a Lotus design which features a twisted diamond pavé band symbolic of two souls connected together. Set in 18ct white gold, the Lotus ring features a strand of white diamond pavé that wraps all the way around the band for added sparkle that sits flush and perfectly matches the style of her engagement ring band.
