As the HBO series—based on George R. R. Martin’s fantasy novels—draws to a close, we’re reflecting on the cultural phenomenon that is Game of Thrones. The series is a grand spectacle sure to be remember forever was a ground breaking television epic. To illustrate the phenomenon, our thoughtfully designed Game of Thrones rings will be a symbol of the show that has gripped the world!
Building on the themes of the final season, there's a showdown between noble family and outcasts alike to finally Westeros. Will the Mother of Dragons take power? Will Tyrion Lannister finally prove his himself for his family? Who will take King's Landing? For those who haven't seen the show, what's important to know is that ultimately there is a showdown between the living and the dead. For our first Game of Thrones ring, we've depicted the battle of fire and ice through a sculptural wedding band made of mixed precious metals. Set in 18ct rose gold and black rhodium, one dragon breathes ice crafted from reverse-set white diamond white the other breathes a fire of orange and yellow sapphires.
The entire series has been centred on who sits on the Iron Throne and thus controls the Seven Kingdoms. Throughout the series ravens are important and symbolic deliverers of knowledge amongst allies and foes alike. Ravens are passionate defenders of perceived threats, and the most cunning of all animals. Set in polished platinum, the ravens engraved on our second ring are emphasised by black rhodium, playing into their ominous and powerful presence within the story.
