The best things to do around our London showroom

There’s nothing more exciting than when our customers come in to the showroom for an in-person consultation. Getting to know someone’s unique story and working with them to imagine how that might inform and inspire a creative collaboration is why we do this—and we want to do everything we can to make sure the experience is just as exciting for you.

We’re lucky enough to have our showroom located in the City of London, so why not make a day of your consultation? Better yet, why not come in and make a day of it with your partner at your side? After all, more people than ever are opting to shop for an engagement ring together as a couple because let’s face it: a partnership is better when it makes decisions together.

Plus, whether you live in the city or are coming in from afar, a day together in London is the perfect way to making lasting memories that you’ll be able to relive every time you look at your rings.

So without further ado, here’s our personal recommendations for what to do, eat, and see in and around our Bank showroom!

Our Bank Showroom in the City

The Tate Modern

In a city as beautiful as London, artistic inspiration can be found almost anywhere. But there’s something magical about the halls, galleries and sweeping staircases of the Tate Modern that always awakens our creative mind.

Before coming in for your consultation, book in to see the latest exhibition or enjoy their world renowned permanent collection (admission to the latter is free!). It’s a 20 minute walk from the Tate to our Bank showroom, giving you time to reflect on the artwork while walking along the banks of the Thames.

Lunch at Borough Market

If you’re looking for a nearby lunch spot—or want to make a pitstop after visiting the Tate—there’s nowhere we love more than the world-famous Borough Market.

With over 1,000 years of history, this neighbourhood favourite is both a bustling market for high-quality foods and host to dozens of restaurants and street food stalls.

Our favourite sit-down options are tied between Wright Brothers and Padella, although enjoying a takeaway treat down by the river never disappoints.

Tour the City on the Thames Clipper

If you’re looking to really take in the London sightseeing experience, we say skip the hop-on-hop-off bus and opt for a method of transport even the locals can’t say no to.

Catch a Thames Clipper boat from Tower Bridge and take in the views!

It’s an affordable way to see the most of London in a short time, and with service running every 10-20 minutes it can be a great way to kill an hour or two before catching a train or heading to a dinner reservation.

The Ned

Less than a five minute walk from the Bank showroom lies one of the most spectacular venues London has to offer. Located in a converted 1920s bank, the Ned Hotel brings the wow-factor both in scale and style.

With multiple bars (some located in the bank’s former vaults!) and six separate restaurants in the grand ground floor banking hall, this is your one-stop shop for a perfect night out. Be sure to check the Ned’s calendar for jazz nights and live music, too.

The experience of finding a ring should be as exceptional and memorable as the object itself. Making a proper day out of your time in and around the showroom is a sure-fire way to make meaningful memories along the way!

You may already have a clear idea of what you’re looking for, or you might be right at the beginning of the process. Whatever your needs, coming in for a consultation with a personal design consultant is a great way to have your questions answered and imagination inspired.
