The Making of the First Masterpiece
Let’s go back in time. In the weeks leading up to their July 2018 engagement, Justin was meticulously involved in crafting the perfect symbol of his love. Closely collaborating with his jeweller of choice, Justin commissioned a custom piece that would soon set style pages and Pinterest boards alight.
Justin had a hand in selecting the diamond and put significant thought into the ring’s design. It boasts a sizeable oval cut diamond, estimated to be between 6 and 10 carats, set on a delicate 18ct gold band. It’s minimalistic, it’s classy, and it reflects Hailey’s style to a tee.
A Proposal to Remember
The proposal happened during a romantic getaway to The Bahamas. While the exact details aren’t known, we imagine some sea breeze, stunning views and epic sunsets were involved.
Justin took to Instagram to share his joy, writing, ‘Hailey I am soooo in love with everything about you.’ He went on to express his deep love and excitement for their future together, noting the significance of their engagement date – the seventh day of the seventh month, a number Justin described as representing spiritual perfection. How perfectly poetic.

The Engagement Ring: A Closer Look
Hailey’s engagement ring is a testament to Justin’s careful planning and thoughtful design. According to the ring’s designer, ‘Justin wanted something that would gracefully accentuate Hailey’s beautifully shaped hands. We settled on an oval stone that was just exceptional in its length and grace.’

Fast forward to September 2018, and the Biebers tied the knot at a courthouse in New York City and, a year later, celebrated with a lavish ceremony where they exchanged custom wedding bands in front of family and friends.
Hailey’s wedding ring set is as stunning as her engagement ring.
She wears an 18ct gold diamond-encrusted band and an 18ct gold and diamond V-ring, complementing Justin’s simple 18ct gold wedding band.

Hailey swapped out her original engagement ring for a much larger diamond of the same oval shape. The new ring is set on a simple gold band, which she pairs with her diamond V-shaped band from her 2019 South Carolina wedding to Justin. Meanwhile, her original 6ct engagement ring, valued at around $400,000, has found a new home on her right pinky finger.
A Practical Upgrade
While it’s pretty safe to assume the new piece is a gift from Justin to celebrate their big news, there might be a more practical reason behind the switch as Hailey’s pregnancy could be causing her fingers to swell. This would make her original engagement ring feel a bit tight, so moving it to her pinky finger makes it more comfortable for the remaining months of her pregnancy.
Hailey’s new ring, though similar in design to her first one, with a four-prong setting and yellow gold band, features a significantly larger, elongated oval cut diamond, estimated to be around 10ct. The new ring’s value is thought to be between $1- $1.5 million.
