Avril Lavigne and Mod Sun announced their engagement following a romantic proposal in Paris. The couple got engaged while riding down the Seine River in a private boat, surrounded by a violinist, Champagne and roses. Sharing the news, Avril revealed how her heart shaped diamond pavé engagement ring symbolises their Happy Ending.

Mod proposed with a custom designed heart shape diamond ring that features a diamond pavé band finished with heartfelt personal inscriptions.
‘He knew from the very beginning I wanted a heart shaped diamond’, Lavigne adds, ‘because on the day we met, we had matching heart shaped pavéd rings on. We’ve worn them every day since, so it’s only fitting to have a heart shaped engagement ring. I love it so much.’
Featuring a 5ct heart shape centre diamond set upon a dainty diamond pavé platinum band, this design is perfectly suited to Avril’s ‘punk-rock princess’ style and legacy. If set with a natural diamond, we estimate the ring to be worth approximately £250,000, or $325,000. If set with a lab grown diamond, we anticipate the ring would cost significantly less at around £45,000 or $60,000. The playful yet sentimental shape of the diamond embodies everything that love should be. And Lavigne isn’t the only star to sport a heart cut diamond.
